History

 
SolarDay was founded in 2009 and has grown into a worldwide event that is celebrated yearly on a weekend day before the Summer Solstice - the longest day of the year.
 
Last year’s SolarDay 2009 included a solar thermal tour hosted by the City of San Francisco and media coverage of this day in recognition of the role of solar in California and the U.S.
